Psychology | Measuring the Unmeasurable

Prof Simantini Ghosh is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Ashoka University. She has a PhD in Neurobiology and Anatomy from the University of Rochester, New York. She enjoys teaching courses that straddle both neuroscience and psychology, as well as research methods courses. Outside work she enjoys reading poetry and nonfiction, listening to classic rock, jazz, and blues.

Jenya is currently a Teaching Fellow (TF) for an introductory psychology course at Ashoka University and will also be your TF for this course at Ashoka Horizons. She completed her Bachelors in Psychology in 2022 and her postgraduate diploma in 2023, both at Ashoka University. She enjoys discussing various theorists' interpretations of the human psyche, and is puzzled and intrigued by the complex nature of Psychology as a budding science in which objectivity and subjectivity come together despite being so contradictory. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking (for fun and sustenance!) and exploring everything that the abundance of OTT platforms have to offer.
